The Stables is a private equine property in the Maryborough region that is now offering agistment services. Owned and managed by a veterinarian, The Stables is an agistees dream on 55 lush green acres. Whether you have a retired horse or a performance horse in full competition work, we can cater to your needs offering flexible, friendly and personalised services. The vision is for the property to feel like your own therefore we are offering a limited number of places to create a peaceful environment and ensure the horses always have access to ample fresh grass to promote good health.

Agistment Options
Self-Care
$95 per horse per week
Private or shared paddock depending on temperament. Owners are responsible for feeding, rugging and cleaning of paddock.
Full-Care
$200 per horse per week
Private paddock with nutrient appropriate hard feed daily & hay as needed. Rugs/fly masks changed according to weather. Owners responsible for cleaning of paddock. Limited availability.
Retirement-Care
$75 per horse per week
Shared 10 acre paddock with access to 2 x dams and trees for shelter. No access to ridden facilities. Owners are responsible for feeding and rugging.
Agistment options above include:

Unlimited use of the arena and round yard, allocated space in the tack and feed room and outdoor area for float parking (excluding spelling/retirement care agistment)

Quarterly faecal egg counts and, if indicated, de-worming

Yearly Hendra and tetanus vaccinations and a general health examination with resident vet. You are welcome to use your own veterinarian for yearly vaccinations if you prefer.

Short-Term Holiday Care
$140 per horse per week
Horse fed once daily (owners to supply hay/feed/supplements) and rugs changed if needed. Regular photos and updates provided. Limited availability.
Hospital-Care / Rehabilitation
From $65 per horse per day
Injured horse care with 24/7 stabling with access to smaller yards during the day if appropriate, full board including feeding and rugging and daily veterinary checks with updates given. A personalised quote for any treatments/ medications will be given based on requirements from referring vet.
Additional Services
Catch for vet / farrier / dentist, advanced notice required and this service will only be provided if someone is available. $15 per visit

Administration of medications/insect repellent/sunscreen. $7 per treatment
Casual stable use inclusive of bedding. Advanced bookings required and stables must be mucked out after use and left as found. $30 per night
Veterinary consultation. $120 per consult. Treatments/medications additional.
