The Stables is a private equine property in the Maryborough region that is now offering agistment services. Owned and managed by a veterinarian, The Stables is an agistees dream on 55 lush green acres. Whether you have a retired horse or a performance horse in full competition work, we can cater to your needs offering flexible, friendly and personalised services. The vision is for the property to feel like your own therefore we are offering a limited number of places to create a peaceful environment and ensure the horses always have access to ample fresh grass to promote good health.
Facilities
70 x 50 fully fenced sand arena under lights. Some show jumps and trot poles also available.

8 x private paddocks with electric fencing, shelters and automatic waterers
4 x shared paddocks each with trees for shelter and dam
4 x stables with automatic waterers, lights, fans and attached day yards

Kitchenette area with kettle, microwave and fridge
Washing machine for rugs and horse gear

Agistment Options
Self-care Shared Paddocks
$100Â per horse per fortnight (spelling)
$120Â per horse per fortnight (riding)
Ten acre paddocks with a maximum 4 horses per paddock. Each paddock has access to a dam and/or automatic waterer, trees for shelter and abundant grass.
Private Paddocks
$130Â per horse per fortnight (spelling)
$150 per horse per fortnight (riding)
One acre grassy paddocks suitable for one horse with an automatic waterer and shelter. Daily hard feed and rug changes included.

Riding agistment includes:
Unlimited use of the arena and round yard, allocated space in the tack and feed room and outdoor area for float parking
One night stable use prior to competitions
Quarterly faecal egg counts and, if required, worming
Yearly Hendra / tetanus vaccinations and a general health examination. You are welcome to use your own veterinarian for yearly vaccinations if you prefer.
Horses checked daily
Rotational grazing to maintain the integrity of the soil and nutrient content of the grass.

Spelling agistment includes the above except use of facilities.

Horses must be up to date with Hendra and worming prior to arrival and owners will need to show proof of COVID vaccination due to immuno-compromised persons living on the property.
Additional Services
Catch for vet / farrier / dentist, advanced notice required and this service will only be provided if someone is available. $15 per visit

Administration of medications including injections. $5 per treatment
Casual stable use inclusive of bedding. Advanced bookings required and stables must be mucked out after use and left as found. $20 per night
Float hire. $50 per day (6am – 10pm)
Veterinary consultation. $100 per consult. Treatments/medications additional.
Injured horse care with 24/7 stabling, full board and daily veterinary attention. From $50 per horse per day, a personalised quote will be given based on requirements from referring vet.
